About the Artist
Hi there!! My name is Edgar Miller, and I am a native Texan living in Fort Worth. My experience as a photographer started in the darkroom back in 1979. Yes, it means I'm from the film era! I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and my passion extends beyond photography, drawing, and painting to include a solid knowledge base in science and math.
I currently work as a commercial, portrait, and fine art photographer. Additionally, I teach photography to groups and individuals getting started or wanting to learn new skills. Over the past two decades, I’ve showcased my work and received awards in various Texas and national exhibitions. My fine art photographs are also in private collections. I’m proud to be a long-time member of both the Texas Photographic Society and the Texas Artists Coalition.
My photography draws inspiration from my late father and my college photo professor, Keith Carter. I’m constantly seeking captivating light and intriguing subjects to capture through my lens.
On a personal note, I have been married to my best friend/assistant/wife for over 30 years. She also is my equipment specialist (which means she holds camera equipment on shoots). We added that in our marriage vows; "To have and to hold my camera gear..." I love the outdoors, specifically the mountains, and my favorite food group are chocolate chip cookies!
Thank you for stopping by! As you can see on my website and social media, I strive to put everyone and everything in the best light. So, reach out and let me know how my photographic skills and knowledge can help you!
